The project was completed by the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with a number of biotechnology companies. The genetic code of biological traits can provide strong technical support for breeding, protection, and popularization of walnut varieties. It also lays a scientific basis and theoretical basis for the research and development of nutritional and functional components of walnuts, and effectively achieves biological enhancement of food nutrition for Chinese residents. It is understood that many research results have been published on gene sequencing and genomics research of fruit crops all over the world, but there are few researches on nut genomics, especially the long history of planting, and few walnut plants are planted in large numbers. There are genomics studies. The fine-grained genome map of the Fructus genus Walnut has filled the gaps in the sequencing of the walnut family and will provide the most important foundational support for the study of this family of plants.
