So… I always start my posts with "so," don't ask me why—it just feels right, like we've already been chatting and I'm picking up where we left off. It's cozy, like we're sitting together having a heart-to-heart about life, family, and everything in between. I love those little moments when we can connect, even if it’s just through words on a screen.

Tangent over.

So… for the past year, I’ve been documenting my little one’s growth in the same spot—a comfy chair surrounded by soft blankets and a giraffe plushie gifted by his big sister. We swapped out the pink accents for something that matched his new bedding design. He still loves curling up there every night, clutching a book and gazing up at me with those big, expressive eyes—eyes that remind me of the night sky, sometimes deep indigo and other times reflecting the moonlight streaming through his window. But lately, he’s been stretching his wings, exploring his room and the wider spaces beyond.

Recently, I snapped this picture of him, and I knew instantly it was perfect for starting a fresh chapter in our monthly photo series. There’s a bit more room now, more space for him to move around and explore, and a bigger version of the giraffe plushie he adores.

Let me introduce you to the rest of the star-studded cast…

Brayden, Thirteen Months
The chunky toddler legs, the scrunchy nose, and that irresistible smile that could melt butter.

Brayden, Thirteen Months
Those round, curious eyes that seem to hold the secrets of the universe, and that sweet milk-teeth grin.

Brayden, Thirteen Months
A mop of unruly curls that look like they’re about to take center stage in their own movie.

I think those curls are going to be the real scene-stealers here.

Today, these photos say so much more than my words ever could. My plate is full, my heart is brimming with joy, and my mind is buzzing with thoughts about the future. I’m just soaking it all in and letting today speak for itself. And I’m okay with that.
