Meat rabbit breeding pellet feed

The processing of powdered rabbits into pelleted feeds is a relatively advanced processing technology in the feed industry. Meat rabbits are rodents and have a habit of biting hard foods. Practice has shown that meat rabbits show a strong preference for pelleted feed and can produce significant weight gains and economic benefits. (I) Processing methods and effects There are two kinds of particle presses currently used. One is to mix the air-dried powder with an appropriate amount of water (about 1%) and mix it into pellets through a pellet feed machine. The other method is to directly press air-dried powder into pellets by a pellet mill. In the pellet forming process, the temperature rises to 10C and can produce the following good effects: First, it can make feed starch, etc. have a certain degree of aging, produce a strong flavor, improve the palatability of feed. The second is to denature the trypsin inhibitors in cereals, soybean cakes, and soybeans to reduce the adverse effects on digestion. The third is to kill parasite eggs and other pathogenic microorganisms and reduce various parasitic diseases and digestive tract diseases. In addition, the temperature increase during the processing of pellet feed can cause the vitamin in the feed to be destroyed to a certain extent, and it is estimated that the loss of vitamin is about 1%. (2) The high-quality pellet feed processed from the finished product specifications should have the same color and sensory index. Mildew, deterioration, agglomeration and odor; moisture content, no higher than 1% in the north, no higher than 15% in the south; particle length should be controlled at 15 mm, diameter 12 mm. (3) Application effects According to the observation of some rabbit breeding farms, feeding methods using pelleted feed and adequate supply of drinking water can produce significant production effects. 1. It can avoid the occurrence of undesirable phenomena such as reduced feed intake, indigestion and diarrhea caused by feed changes (especially green feed). 2. Control of parasitic diseases, while the incidence of digestive tract disease will also be significantly reduced. 3. Reduced feed wastage compared to feeding concentrates and greens. 4. It is convenient to feed, which reduces the labor intensity of the keeper and improves the labor efficiency. China Agricultural Network Editor
