Development of the drive structure of ultracentrifuge

Ultracentrifuges require the following properties:

(1) Low vibration and low noise;

(2) The speed is stable;

(3) The temperature of the centrifugal head changes with time and the temperature gradient with position changes is small;

(4) Accurate temperature measurement during operation;

(5) Various safety devices can be added.

The driving method that satisfies the above requirements is limited and is a special driving method. People have tried many programs in the development of ultra-centrifuges for decades, which can be summarized as:

Among them, there have been commodities or stereotyped products: oil turbine driven, indirect air turbine, direct air turbine, direct motor drive, gear belt speed increase and high speed motor gear increase. The most widely used is the direct drive structure of the variable frequency motor.
