Wuhan Cracks 50 Million Yuan in Counterfeit Wine and Finds Large Number of Wines Waiting for Appraisal

Yesterday, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce announced the counterfeit warfare report: Cracked a fake wine case worth 50 million yuan.

According to the report, the Industrial and Commercial Department of Qiaokou cooperated with the police. In mid-January of this year, four warehouses at Qianban Lane, No. 30, Aiguo Lane, No. 30, No. 7 of Hanzhong Road, Yanhe Road, were seized for suspected counterfeit “Maotai” and “Moutai”. Zhang Yu, Wuliangye, and "Red Star Erguotou," and 1,623 boxes of white and red wine were worth about 50 million yuan. According to the investigation, these are the warehouses of Yangyang Commerce and Trade Co., Ltd. in Qiaokou District. The company’s sales order shows that fake wine is mainly sold to some major hotels, KTV rooms and shops in the province.

After preliminary investigation by the police, the party Xia has been working on fake wine for many years; there are also a large number of wines waiting to be identified in the warehouse.

Prior to this, the quality supervision and industry and commerce departments also ended up with a fake litter in Hongshan, seized more than 100 finished wines such as “white clouds” and “four-star Zhijiang” suspected of counterfeiting, and seized various types of empty space such as Maotai and Wuliangye. More than 3,000 bottles and packing boxes were provided; law enforcement officers also seized five sets of production equipment such as capping machines and coding machines; and about 700 kilograms of raw wine to be filled, with a value of more than 40,000 yuan.
