New ways to increase piglet weight and fitness

Newborn piglets generally have poor physique, weak disease resistance and high mortality. The test site of the Institute of Animal Husbandry in Bremen, United Kingdom, has adopted a method of feeding high-protein diets to sows to increase their weight and fitness. Specific approach: starting 2 weeks before sow precolumn, sows are fed high-protein diets containing more than 18% crude protein and fed until piglets are weaned. Using this method can not only improve the birth weight and weaning weight of piglets, reduce the prevalence, but also improve the continuous pregnancy cycle rate of sows.

One of these active ingredients is benzisothiazolone (BIT).  It has several distinct performance advantages, including good stability at high pH, good stability in the presence of reducing agents, and broad spectrum of activities against many microbes.
