In the first half of this year, the sales revenue of the Beijing biomedical industry reached 25.51 billion yuan, an increase of 22% year-on-year; the added value of the biopharmaceutical industry was 7.75 billion yuan, ranking fourth in 37 industrial sectors in the city. A few days ago, 11 more companies in the city entered the Beijing Biopharmaceutical Industry Leapfrogging Development Project (G20 Project). Before the end of the year, the contribution rate of 50 G20 enterprises in the city to the biopharmaceutical industry is expected to reach 70% to 80%.

Since the implementation of the G20 project, it has been actively connecting with major national special projects, and strived for the country's major achievements, projects and bases to land in Beijing. Because of this, this city has also won a lot in the major science and technology projects of the “major new drug creation” in the docking country. In the first batch of national special projects of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, Beijing enterprises obtained 43 projects with a total funding of 300 million yuan, accounting for 50% of the total funding. Among them, G20 enterprises obtained 13 projects with a total funding of 88.97 million yuan, accounting for the funding of Beijing enterprises. 29.6%.

In order to promote the cooperation between Beijing enterprises and hospitals and accelerate the clinical research of major new drugs, the Municipal Science and Technology Commission has integrated the clinical research resources of 17 top-three hospitals in the city and launched the Beijing International Pharmaceutical Clinical Research and Development Platform (CRO platform). Up to now, through the regular organization of "the hospital's clinical variety matchmaking meeting," the City Science and Technology Commission has promoted the G20 company's 7 new drug varieties to reach clinical cooperation intentions with 6 hospitals.
