Nitrogen fertilizer application "seven bogey"

In current agricultural production, people in some areas often use nitrogen fertilizers due to improper application methods, affect the normal function of nitrogen fertilizer efficiency, and cause waste of nitrogen fertilizer resources. So how to use nitrogen fertilizer to maximize its effectiveness, improve utilization? The author reviewed the relevant data summary, in general, the following "seven bogey":

A mixture of ammonium nitrogen and alkaline fertilizer is avoided, because nitrogen will evaporate and reduce fertilizer effect after mixing. The commonly used ammonium nitrogen fertilizers include ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium sulfate, and ammonium phosphate, and alkaline fertilizers include ash and lime.

Second, avoid the application of nitrate nitrogen in the rain or pouring large water after application.

3. Avoid application of urea when close to the seed. This is because urea contains biuret, which affects the germination of seeds, and when the concentration is too high, it also causes seed poisoning.

Four avoid urea shallow Shi. Because urea is applied to the soil, it will be hydrolyzed into ammonium bicarbonate after the action of soil remedies, and then ammonia gas will be decomposed and volatilized.

Five bogey urea top dressing concentration is too high. Under normal circumstances, using urea as foliar fertilizer, the effect is indeed good. However, blindly increasing the dosage to increase the concentration would be counterproductive. Appropriate application of general grain and cotton crops is 0.8 to 1%, and fruit and vegetable and other high-efficiency cash crops are 0.4 to 0.6%.

Sixth avoid the use of ammonium bicarbonate applied to the soil surface and shallow. This is because the nature of ammonium bicarbonate is extremely unstable and should be deepened. After application, the soil should be covered immediately, otherwise it will affect fertilizer efficiency.

Seven bogey ammonium sulfate is not suitable for long-term application. This is because ammonium sulfate is a physiological fertilizer, and long-term application will increase the acidity of the soil and damage the soil structure.
